ODD ONE OUT?
Every year hundreds of faulty products are recalled
in the UK because of the
risk they present to the public.
It is time to do the same with our faulty weapons. |
On 23 February 2007, 46 nations committed to work towards the creation of
a new treaty banning cluster bombs by 2008.
Since agreeing to the declaration at the Oslo conference, the UK government announced a moratorium on the use of its BL755 and M26 cluster bombs - a very positive sign. However the UK continues to stockpile Israeli manufactured M85 cluster bombs for use.
The UK should stop its use, production and trade of all cluster bombs until this
new international process is concluded.
The UK and governments worldwide must engage fully in this process
to protect civilians from the effects of these deadly weapons.

bombs, sign the international petition and find out how you can
help ban cluster bombs.
